Advice on losing weight for larger woman?

A friend of mine is trying to lose some weight and seems to be having trouble doing so. She's a larger woman but not necessarily obese, she exercises a few times a week with aerobics and does actually eat well, no sodas or junk, but is only maintaining her weight. She does eat yogurt every morning though but not sure if that matters. Any advice for her??? Thanks!Advice on losing weight for larger woman?
Have you tried the Lil Jack workout? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr鈥?/a>Advice on losing weight for larger woman?
She needs to raise her metabolism, if she just started workout recently it will take time for her body to respond. Also if she lifts light weights (even dumbbells) for a couple of work outs a week she will increase her muscle mass, then do cardio three times a week, that will in turn increase her metabolism. Three work outs a week are considered maintenance, four is good but will take longer, five is ideal for losing. Also she has to make sure she burns more calories than she takes in. Our bodies burn about 1200 - 1400 a day just to eat, breathe and sleep (more or less depending on your size). So if she eats only 1200 she has already burned the calories, then a work out on top of that will put her in a ';calorie deficit'; and she will start losing. It does take time, one day the body will realize she is burning more than taking in and the pounds will drop off.
she should change up her workout routine. if you constantly do the same thing over and over again, it will stop working after a while.
